We are pleased to inform you that we have qualified, certified and licensed Audiologists on staff here at Greenwood ENT.  Each is an expert of better hearing, hearing loss, and the latest hearing instruments.  They are available Monday through Friday for your convenience and when it comes to identifying, assessing and managing disorders of the auditory, balance and other Neural systems, our Audiologists are second-to-none!  After the initial diagnosis and specifications of your hearing evaluation, your Audiologist will discuss the findings and then select, fit, and dispense the proper hearing aid that will best accommodate you.  We evaluate and test all ages:  newborns, the elderly, and all ages in-between!  No one is ever too young or too old to have a hearing evaluation.

We offer you the following:

***IMPORTANT***

People with decreased hearing can really miss-out on the joys of life. Being able to be part of a conversation and hear the punch lines to a joke is important. When friends and family members have to yell, shout and repeat themselves, the leisureness of having a simple conversation becomes difficult and most often, very frustrating for all involved.   After a while, people choose to stop trying to speak with those who have poor hearing, and slowly, those who have a hearing loss can become less involved with family and friends.

Did you know that over 28 million Americans have some degree of hearing loss?  That is one in a family of four!

Hearing loss is the third most common health problem for older adults, yet they rarely have it checked.

A large study conducted by the National Council on Aging showed that when people do not hear they may become withdrawn, depressed and lose their independence.   The same study also showed that when hearing loss was treated, people enjoyed being with friends and family, they were happier and more independent, and they felt safer in their homes and cars.

Positive results with hearing assistance.

Go out and enjoy better hearing at home, in social situations, in the world around you! Be prepared to hear more, enjoy more and become more connected with family, friends and the world of sound.

After about two weeks, we will want to see you again to determine if further adjustments to your hearing aids are needed. Your fitting is finalized with an appointment 30 days from the date of your hearing aid fit.

Hearing help does not end at the consultation of the 30 days. Your audiologist will recommend regular appointments during the first year. Your audiologist will want to see you for annual recheck of your hearing and hearing aid prescription.

As professionals, we want you to be happy with better hearing. Improving your hearing is an important part of what we do and we take pride each time we are able to help patients hear family, friends and the world of sound.

Should you have any problems, we are only a phone call and an appointment away! NO CHILD IS TOO YOUNG FOR A HEARING TEST! Hearing loss is first suspected by the parents in 75% of cases. If you have ever felt that your child might not be hearing adequately or developing speech normally, schedule a hearing test immediately! There is nothing to be gained by waiting and much to be gained by early diagnosis. A child should be referred for a hearing test if they:
